43 new coronavirus infections on Wednesday, no deaths
Ljubljana – Slovenia reported 43 new coronavirus cases for Wednesday in what continues to be a significant decrease on all levels. No Covid-19 patients died, the seven-day average of new daily cases fell to 54 and the 14-day incidence per 100,000 residents dropped to 49, according to fresh official data.
Slovenia logs 918 coronavirus cases for Wednesday, six deaths
Ljubljana – Slovenia saw its daily coronavirus count tick up again week-on-week after declining on Tuesday bank holiday. It logged 918 new infections on Wednesday, and six deaths, government data show.
Number of new infections drops, new vaccines added to quarantine-free border pass
Ljubljana – The number of new infections dropped both in daily and weekly comparison in Slovenia on Wednesday. A total of 891 new cases were confirmed in 4,278 PCR and 24,242 rapid tests, while a week ago the figure was 1,527 and on Tuesday it topped 1,000. Seven patients died.
More virulent variants not widespread in Slovenia
Ljubljana – The more virulent variants of coronavirus appear not to be very widespread in Slovenia yet. Two labs which conduct genetic sequencing have so far identified 35 cases of the UK variant and not a single case of the South African or Brazilian variant.
