The US plans to deepen its cooperation with Bulgaria, Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine and Romania. This is clear from the "Black Sea Security Act" introduced in the US Congress.

With 10 votes "for" and 5 "against", the Defense Committee decided to provide Ukraine with 100 armored personnel carriers from the reserves of the Ministry of Internal Affairs which are no longer needed.

"We have problems with the maintenance of the MiG-29 fighter jets. We will rely on the MiG-29s until such time as air control duty can be taken over by the F-16s." This was stated by the Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev during his hearing in the Defense Committee of the National Assembly.

The Sofia District Prosecutor's Office has charged a 39-year-old man with threatening to kill an acting minister, the state prosecution announced.

However, the message did not say against which minister the threat was made.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is coming to Bulgaria on Thursday, several Bulgarian publications reported last night. However, the information was never confirmed by any institution. Only the Council of Ministers sent a message to the media that they could not confirm Zelensky's visit, but they did not deny it.

"The process of sending of military aid to Ukraine will soon begin", announced Bulgaria's Defense Minister Todor Tagarev. He could not say when the first deliveries would be on Ukrainian territory, but indicated that Kyiv would receive the most necessary resources immediately.

"At this stage, Bulgaria will not take part in the EU's initiative for the immediate transfer of 155 mm caliber ammunition, as it does not have such guns, but we do not exclude the possibility that the European Defense Agency may entrust the production of such ammunition to Bulgarian companies".

Bulgarian aid to Ukraine will not include heavy equipment and aviation, according to Defense Minister Todor Tagarev.
