Two of the candidates from the president's "home list" have agreed to serve as the next acting Prime Minister. This follows meetings with President Rumen Radev, who is still deliberating on the final decision. The two individuals are current acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev and Petar Chobanov, the Deputy Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB).

President Rumen Radev has appointed Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva as the new acting Prime Minister of Bulgaria. This appointment follows Dimitar Glavchev's recent withdrawal from the position. According to a press release from the President's office, Grancharova-Kozhareva, who is the Deputy Chairman of the Audit Chamber, has been designated to form an interim government.

The seventh parliamentary elections in Bulgaria in the last three years are scheduled for October, following the unsuccessful attempts to form a regular government from the current Parliament. The specific date will be either October 13, 20, or 27, depending on how quickly President Rumen Radev initiates the procedure to appoint a caretaker government.

President Rumen Radev has been actively engaging with all potential candidates for the interim prime minister position within a span of just two days. Despite public declarations of willingness to adhere to constitutional procedures and the President's decision, none of the candidates expressed a clear desire to take on the responsibility.
