Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) lawmakers Faysal Sarıyıldız and Tuğba Hezer Öztürk have been stripped of their statuses as members of parliament in a parliamentary voting on the grounds that they failed to attend parliament for a long time.
 

A lawmaker from the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) has lost her seat in parliament due to her lack of attendance.

Tuğba Hezer Öztürk, an HDP lawmaker from the eastern province of Van, was stripped of her parliamentary seat on June 14 after not attending talks in parliament for nearly a year.

Prosecutors in Van have sought an aggravated life term and 48 years in prison for opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) MP Tuğba Hezer Öztürk on terrorism charges.

The opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) held its weekly parliamentary group meeting on Nov. 15 with only its spokesperson, Ayhan Bilgen, in protest against the ban on guests due to their slogans. 
"This is a shame for the parliament," told Bilgen journalists on Nov. 15. 

Nine lawmakers from Turkey's opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), including its co-chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ, were arrested on Nov. 4 in a probe that was launched against 14 of the party's lawmakers over alleged links to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

Eight lawmakers from Turkey's opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), including its co-chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ, were arrested on Nov. 4 in a probe that was launched against 14 of the party's lawmakers over alleged links to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

Eleven lawmakers from the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) have been detained for failing to appear in response to summons by prosecutors asking for testimony in a terrorism propaganda case, a government office said in a written statement early Nov 4. 

The co-chairs of Turkey's Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ, as well as HDP lawmakers Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Gülser Yıldırım, have been sent to a courthouse in the southeastern province on Diyarbakir, with demands for their arrest following their detention. 

Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş, the co-leaders of the opposition Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), and 10 lawmakers from the party were detained early on Nov. 4 in a move that threatens further instability for the country.
