Child graves and figurines found in ancient Tenedos
Many child graves have been unearthed during the excavations carried out last year in the necropolis area of the ancient city of Tenedos, located in the Bozcaada district of Çanakkale.
The area is a tourism center visited by nearly 50,000 local and foreign tourists every year.
Ceremony held for Roma killed in World War II
A commemorative ceremony for the almost 3,000 Roma who perished in the Auschwitz concentration camp on Aug. 2, 1944, during World War II has been held in the northwest province of Edirne along the banks of the Meriç River.
The program started with a minute of silence for the Roma who lost their lives by being gassed to death at the camp.

Visitors throng Edirne to soak in Kakava festivities
The much-awaited Kakava festivities have begun in the northwestern province of Edirne, as visitors throng the region to soak in the exuberant atmosphere full of activities such as dancing around the Kakava bonfire marking the arrival of spring, listening to folktales and firewalking.
Aspendos Festival to open in September
The 28th International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival will be organized by the Culture and Tourism Ministry at the Aspendos Ancient Theater in Antalya between Sept. 4 and 12 and will open with the opera "Murat IV."

Virus outlook in Turkey worsens within a week
The COVID-19 outbreak worsened within a week across Turkey, leaving only one province in the low-risk category.
According to the weekly cases' data for March 13 and March 19, the number of provinces classified as high-risk increased to 39 from the previous week's 25.

Massive ancient underground city discovered in Turkey's Nevşehir
