Family members of Mosul hostages file complaint against Turkish PM, foreign minister

Muammer Taşdelen, a relative of three of the Turkish hostages kept in Mosul by jihadist militants nearly two months ago, and CHP deputy Umut Oran have filed a criminal complaint on Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu and bureaucrat Ömer Onhan.

The complaint includes malpractice and neglect.

CHP calls for customs minister to resign over shady gold trade

The main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) has demanded the resignation of Customs and Trade Minister Hayati Yazıcı over shady gold transfers from Ghana to Dubai via Turkey, on the grounds that he failed to open an efficient probe into a mysterious cargo plane carrying 1.5 tons of gold. 

CHP reopens case over mysterious gold trade from Ghana

An opposition lawmaker has initiated reopening the case of mysterious gold trade from Ghana to Dubai via Istanbul early 2013.

The developments come through a parliamentary question on the role of the Foreign Ministry in easing procedures for the plane in question to leave the Istanbul airport, although it had been seized by the Customs Directorate, due to its suspect cargo.
