In the weeks following President Rumen Radev's call to preserve the Third of March as a national holiday, an Initiative Committee of scientists, public figures, and intellectuals created the "Third of March" Movement for this purpose.

Kornelia Ninova remains the leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party after the party's congress rejected her resignation in a closed discussion and a vote with 415 votes against, 164 in favor, and 20 abstentions.

 The Parliament approved the request from Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) to dismiss Valeri Zhablyanov as Deputy President of the Parliament, BNT reports. The proposal was adopted with 110 to 71 votes.

Five MPs are leaving the Executive Bureau of the Bulgarian Socialist Party by a decision by the BSP National Council, taken at the party's plenary session today, reported BNR.

The proposal to exclude from the Bureau most of its members who are MPs was made by the leader Kornelia Ninova.

Bulgarian MPs elected five deputy chairpersons for the 44th National Assembly, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency reported.

As many as six candidates will run to take over the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), the second-largest party in the country, local media report.

The BSP is to hold a national congress scheduled for May 08, Sunday. 

Bulgarian Parliament has approved the one day labor contracts specifically for seasonal agricultural work.

The amendments to the Labor Code are set to improve the registration of short-term seasonal work. However, the time worked under such a contract will not count towards one's labor experience, but employees will be able to get their full insurances.
