TV Executive Vows to Sue Bulgarian Nationalist MP

Venelin Petkov, the head of news, current affairs and sport at private channel bTV, said on Tuesday that he intends to sue United Patriots leader Valeri Simeonov for calling him and his colleague Anton Hekimyan corrupt during a broadcast on Bulgarian National Television.

"See you in court," Petkov wrote on Facebook in response to Simeonov's accusations.

The Ministry of Culture Inspects Antiques in Bozhkov's Collection

The Prosecutor's Office instructed the Ministry of Culture to inspect the collection of antique objects kept and exhibited in a museum by the Thrace Foundation.

The foundation was established by gambling tycoon Vasil Bozhkov, who was recently detained in the United Arab Emirates.

Part of the charges against the businessman are for the leadership of an organized criminal group, coercion, extortion, attempted bribery of an official and incitement to commit criminal offenses.

The General Meeting of PFC Levski AD was held this morning at the National Palace of Culture. It has officially changed its ownership of the "blue" club. As previously announced by Sportal.bg, the new majority ownership of the 26-time champions is named Georgi Popov, who took the main package of shares from the former boss Spas Rusev and is close to businessman Vasil Bozhkov.
