Czech MPs back Serbia's EU path
BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Deputy Speaker Veroljub Arsic on Monday met with a delegation of Czech MPs, who expressed confidence that the European Commission report on Serbia, which is due to be adopted this week, will be positive and that it will contribute to Serbia's further accession to the European Union.

Arsic appointed chair of Finance Committee
BELGRADE - MP of the Serbian Progressive Party Veroljub Arsic was appointed chair of the Serbian Parliament Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending on Friday, while caucus whip of the Democratic Party (DS) Dragan Djilas assumed office as the committee's deputy chair.

Parliament ends debate in principle, to reconvene Saturday
BELGRADE - The Serbian parliament concluded late Thursday the debate in principle on the new bill on ministries and amendments to the law on government, which are a prerequisite for electing the new government.
The parliament will be in recess on Friday, with the amended bills to be discussed and adopted on Saturday, April 26.

BELGRADE - Setting up working bodies and standing delegations to international parliamentary institutions marked the end of the constitution of the Serbian National Assembly on Thursday, and a new session is about to start to discuss amendments to the laws on government and ministries, whose passage is a prerequisite for forming a new government.
