US Refuses to Share Syria Deal Documents with UN

BELGRADE - Russia on Friday has accused the United States of refusing to share documents with the UN Security Council outlining a joint agreement aimed at halting the fighting in Syria.

An urgent council meeting called to discuss the agreement was abruptly cancelled on Friday amid disagreements between Russia and the United States over the joint deal.

Turkey is investigating Russian claims that Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants in Syria and Iraq have profited from smuggling stolen antiquities through its territory, despite its belief the charges were politically motivated, a Turkish official said on April 7.

Tehran's recent ballistic missile tests did not violate a U.N. resolution and were not illegal, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said March 15 after being questioned on the issue by Australia.

The United Nations Security Council met on March 14 at the request of the United States to discuss the missile tests that have raised the prospect of new sanctions.
