Renowned Italian chamber orchestra I Solisti Veneti and celebrated Greek contralto Marita Paparizou will perform a seasonal Easter concert at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (snfcc.org) to mark the beginning of Holy Week. Titled "Passion and Myth" and conducted by Giuliano Carella, the concert will feature pieces by Vivaldi, Handel and Nicola Porpora, among others.

Pandemic process to be shown on ballet stage

A new ballet work titled "Pandemic," showing the COVID-19 process through artistic performance and dedicated to health care workers, will make its world premiere online.

Dedicated to heroic medics and featuring the pandemic process, the work is choreographed by Armağan Davran and Volkan Ersoy and will be staged by the Antalya State Opera and Ballet.

Turkish firm develops safe videoconference software

Turkey's one of the largest defense companies Havelsan developed an indigenous and safe videoconference software, named Diyalog.

The use of videoconference software rose sharply after the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused lockdowns globally.

The high demand for this software also revealed some security problems.

Italian Mezzo-soprano Romina Basso, a leading performer of Vivaldi's work, will be joined by the Camerata Friends of Music Orchestra under award-winning maestro Markellos Chryssicos on the main stage of the Greek National Opera at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in southern Athens on Monday, February 10.

Children to sing for peace in Istanbul

The Music for Peace Foundation, which aims at providing musical education for as many children as possible and removing handicaps from participating in the arts, will celebrate its decennial this year. The foundation, which has so far changed the lives of nearly 5,000 children with the power of music, will celebrate its anniversary with a special concert on Nov. 15 at Zorlu PSM.
