Serbia guest of honour at International Book Fair in Tehran

Minister of Culture and Media Vladan Vukosavljevic will speak at the opening of the Fair on 1 May, while "Days of Serbia" and the stand of the Republic of Serbia will be officially opened on May 2, the government announced on Friday.

Books by Milos Crnjanski, Ivo Andric, Mesa Selimovic, Danilo Kis, Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic, Dositej Obradovic and others authors will be presented.

Government reshuffle "certain to take place" - report

Of interest is also that the reshuffle will be done simultaneously with the announcement of the name of Belgrade's new mayor.

A source told the broadcaster that they knew "one minister's job was in danger," while others said two ministers would be replaced "for personal reasons" and two more "for poor results."

Centre of Slavic Cultures opens at National Library

BELGRADE - A Centre of Slavic Cultures opened at the National Library of Serbia on Wednesday as part of commemorations of the institution's 186th anniversary.

Serbian Culture and Information Minister Vladan Vukosavljevic and Forum of Slavic Cultures Director Andreja Rihter pointed to the significance of forging ties among Slavic countries, cultures and nations.
