Erdogan opens air show in Russia

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir have underscored their close links as they opened a major Russian air show.

Erdogan was Putin's guest of honor on Tuesday at the opening of the MAKS aviation show outside Moscow and even got to peek inside the cockpit of Russia's newest fighter jet, the Su-57, which was unveiled at the show.

Turkey has already paid a deposit to Russia for the purchase of the S-400 anti-ballistic missile system despite opposition from its NATO allies, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, underlining that both Ankara and Moscow were committed to accomplish the sale process of the high-tech defense equipment. 

No Deadline for Russian T-72 Tanks, Armored Vehicles Delivery

Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin told Sputnik on Saturday he expects Russia's military aid package to Serbia consisting, in particular, of 30 T-72s tanks and 30 BRDM-2 armored reconnaissance vehicles, to be delivered next year with no specific deadline fixed.

Serbia expects that the MiG-29 deliveries will happen right on time, the minister noted.

Russia agreed to transfer technology along with S-400 missile systems: Presidential spokesperson

Russia has agreed to transfer the technology of S-400 anti-ballistic missile systems, and it constitutes the most advantageous aspect of the deal between the two countries, Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın has said, informing that the agreement between the two states will soon be concluded.

The European Union is in "existential danger" and must go through a radical reinvention process in order to save itself, George Soros has told an economic forum in Brussels.

Soros said on June 1 that a combination of external and internal threats have brought the 28-member bloc to a "tipping point" between further integration or disintegration.
