The notion that sportspersons are people of different worlds far from culture and arts is quite widespread, and to my surprise, though I came across quite many sportspersons at art fairs and events, I had no idea that they can be so involved in arts to the level of collecting artworks.

Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor share the spoils

Fenerbahçe failed to clinch its first league win of the season as it was held to a 2-2 draw at home by Trabzonspor on Aug. 20.

Trabzonspor started the Spor Toto Super League second week match with a goal when striker Burak Yılmaz took advantage and scored after Juraj Kucka's chip over Fenerbahçe's defense in the fifth minute.

İzmir's public transport authority, ESHOT, has canceled a number of transport cards after a male student was spotted using retired footballer David Beckham's picture on his bus card, the authority has said, noting that 40 cards have been canceled on similar grounds.

Fenerbahçe players' wives send aid to Syria's Jarablus

The wives of footballers at Fenerbahçe have sent aid to the Syrian city of Jarablus, recently liberated from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). 
The group sent winter clothes to children in the town after seeing campaigns on social media calling for help to meet the children's needs, NTV Spor reported on Nov. 18.
