BELGRADE - The long-awaited referendum on whether Britain should leave or remain in the EU is set for June 23. The public polls show that many are still undecided and supporters of the Brexit have resorted to different means to draw a gloomy picture of future membership in the Union.

Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, former Egyptian military chief, is now poised to win the presidential elections held this week with an overwhelming majority.

Provisional results quoted by state media suggest he received over 96% of the vote, with 24.7 million ballots counted.

Rakic, the candidate from the Belgrade-backed ‘Srpska’ list, took 52.6 per cent of the vote in Sunday’s re-run polls to win the mayoralty, according to preliminary results published by the Kosovo Central Election Commission.
