Varoufakis: ‘It’s time for adults in the room’
Yanis Varoufakis, leader of the Democracy in Europe Movement 2025 (DiEM25), on Wednesday attacked Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras for suggesting during an interview with ERT state broadcaster Tuesday that his ex finance minister was ready to cooperate with his nemesis, ex German finance minister Wolfgang Schaeuble.

ND leads SYRIZA by 9 percentage points in general election poll
Even as SYRIZA confronted a New Democracy landslide in 2 June local election run-offs, a poll on voter intention in the 7 July general election had the ruling party trailing ND by nine percentage points, nearly the identical spread between the two top parties as in the 26 May European Parliament election.
Varoufakis attributes SYRIZA losses to 'inconsistencies of last 4 years'
Commenting on the losses suffered by leftist SYRIZA in Sunday's local and regional authority runoffs, former finance minister Yanis Varoufakis attributed it to "inconsistencies" in its stances.
"SYRIZA never had deep roots in local government. But it chiefly paid for the inconsistencies of the past four years," Varoufakis told Skai.
