Turkish authorities have announced the capture of Hakan Ayık, a notorious criminal on the most wanted list in Australia, and 36 individuals affiliated with his criminal organization, Comanchero.

Interior Ali Yerlikaya Minister has announced that the measures to detect and combat illegal migration will continue to intensify following the evening inspections conducted last week.

The fight against irregular migration has been identified as a top priority by the ministry, with efforts being made not only in Istanbul but also across all 81 provinces, Yerlikaya said.

A total of 46,633 individuals who entered the country irregularly have been deported since the beginning of this year, Interior Minister Yerlikaya has informed.

In a recent statement posted on his social media account, he further stated that the deportation proceedings of an additional 17,964 foreigners are still ongoing.
