Russia and China have announced plans to embark on a groundbreaking venture that involves installing a nuclear reactor on the Moon by 2035. According to a report from Russia-based TASS, Yuri Borisov, the head of Russia's space agency, Roscosmos, revealed the ambitious project during the World Youth Festival.

Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov and appointed him as Director General of Roscosmos in place of Dmitry Rogozin.

Russia will end its participation in the International Space Station after it reaches the end of its planned lifespan in 2024, a senior official has confirmed. Moscow is already working on a new station to replace the current one.
