International media upbeat on Tsipras’ ‘historic’ visit to North Macedonia
International media outlets reported on PM Alexis Tsipras' historic visit to North Macedonia today, the first since it was established as an independent state in 1991, with the breakup of Yugoslavia.
Indeed, it was the first visit of a Greek PM since the "Republic of Macedonia" was established as part of Yugoslavia.
Germany says Prespes deal adoption is 'victory for diplomacy'
Germany's Foreign Minister Heiko Maas welcomed the adoption of the name agreement signed between Athens and Skopje by the Greek Parliament on Friday as a "victory for diplomacy" and "great news for Europe," and hailed the leading role of Prime Ministers Alexis Tsipras and Zoran Zaev.
"Macedonia is fully prepared for NATO"
A statement from the Macedonian government quoted Zaev as saying the aforementioned in a discussion with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, with whom he met on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum as well as EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn.

Zaev calls on Greek MPs to ratify Prespes accord
Zoran Zaev, the Prime Minister of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), called on Greek lawmakers to ratify the Prespes accord during a press conference on Saturday, a day after his country's Parliament approved the constitutional amendments required under the deal with Greece.

Would Macedonian PM open border with Serbia and Bulgaria?
Rama previously said that "besides the border with Kosovo" he wants to also open Albania's borders with Macedonia, Montenegro and Greece.
Zaev stated on Thursday that he would "do the same, because it would benefit the region," the website Faktor.mk is reporting.
"I would immediately open all borders," the Macedonian PM is quoted as saying.
