A group of prominent defence lawyers in Montenegro says they cannot. They claim the investigations are flawed and say hacked messages should not be used as evidence in court, as the secrecy of the hacking means suspects haven't had fair trials.

Thanks to plea bargaining, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has handed down its first verdict based on evidence obtained through the global crackdown on Sky ECC and Anom apps, the court stated on Friday.

Police reported that the man with the initials M.B. activated a hand-grenade at the entrance of the Basic Court building.

Police are still investigating why he activated the hand-grenade. Media reported that he had been arrested for attacking police officers and drug trafficking.

Former Serbia and Montenegro president Svetozar Marovic has until mid-September to pay 1.1 million euros to Montenegro after making a plea bargain with the special prosecution and admitting that he abused his political position to benefit a criminal group involved in property in his hometown of Budva.

The ex-president of the former state union of Serbia and Montenegro, Svetozar Marovic, was released from custody on Tuesday after he signed a plea bargain with the special prosecution for organised crime and corruption and agreed to serve three years and eight months in prison.

The Special Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime in Montenegro ordered the arrest of the former president of the state union of Serbia and Montenegro Svetozar Marovic on Thursday.

Marovic, who chairs the political council of the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists, DPS, was arrested in connection to corruption cases centred on the resort of Budva.

The head of the Montenegrin Bar Association, Zdravko Begovic, said action will be taken against any Montenegrin attorneys taking advantage of the strike by Serbian lawyers to represent suspects before courts in Belgrade.
