The Minister of Health, Zlatibor Lonar, said yesterday that the testing of the Russian vaccine in the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Serbia is nearing the end and that it is expected to be completed in the first days of the new year.
Vaccination against coronavirus with the vaccine of the companies Pfizer and BioNTech started in Serbia on December 24.

At today's session, the Crisis Staff discussed the epidemic situation and the possible introduction of new measures, considering that St. Nicholas, New Year's and Christmas holidays are imminent.
The measure of introducing mandatory quarantine and PCR test for Serbian citizens who would come from abroad was discussed, but the decision on that has not been made yet, RTS reports.

According to "Blic", the main ones will refer to our citizens who should come to Serbia for the holidays in the next period. The exact date of the new session of the Crisis Staff is not known yet, and as "Blic" finds out, it will be held by Friday at the latest.

The director of that hospital, Tatjana Adi Vukievi, stated that she has a great honor to be the head of the largest COVID hospital. She also said that the first patients arrive in the afternoon. According to her, she and her team will do their best to defeat the coronavirus epidemic.

"Urgent procurement of vaccines is the only topic of today's meeting with representatives of the Institute of Virology, Vaccines and Serums 'Torlak', the Institute of Public Health of Serbia 'Dr Milan Jovanovic Batut', the Drug Agency and the RHIF," Vucic said, along with photos from the meeting on the official account of "Budunostsrbije" on Instagram.

Along with President Vui, the Minister of Defense Neboja Stefanovi, the Minister of Health Zlatibor Lonar, the Director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic Goran Stevanovi, the Mayor Zoran Radojii and the Deputy Mayor Goran Vesi also visited the construction site.
"Nobody expected that we could build such a magnificent hospital in four months," Vucic said on that occasion.

With today's 28, the number of deaths in Serbia has risen to 1.168, and the mortality rate is 1.01 percent.
