New youth housing complex opens in Ljubljana
Ljubljana – A new housing complex with almost 110 apartments for people aged 18-29 was inaugurated on Wednesday in Ljubljana in a bid to assist youths in gaining independence, starting family and securing financial freedom. Monthly rent will be some 150 EUR per person.

Opposition critical of resilience plan, businesses expected more grants
Ljubljana – The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) has welcomed Slovenia’s recovery and resilience plan that the government adopted on Wednesday as a huge step forward from a previous version. Nevertheless, the chamber wants to see more grant funds. The opposition is meanwhile critical of the plan, saying it lacks environmental investments.

Ljubljana – The government has declassified the draft national recovery and resilience plan after pressure from the opposition that a broad debate was required on the document. The parliamentary EU Affairs Committee discussed the plan on Friday, rejecting all recommendations from opposition parties.

Ljubljana – The parliamentary EU Affairs Committee discussed the draft national recovery and resilience plan Slovenia has to adopt and send to Brussels to draw some EUR 5.2 billion in post-pandemic EU funds. The debate was held behind closed doors despite the left-leaning opposition’s request for the session to be open to the public.
