Sabancı Foundation Turkeyâs Changemakers Program is continuing in its 6th season to share the unique stories of extraordinary people who contribute to social development across the country. The third Changemaker of the 6th season is the Nusratlı Village Culture Tourism and Solidarity Association (NusratDer), based in the northeastern province of Ãanakkale.
Water workers unveil century-old bomb from the Battle of Gallipoli
Turkish workers have discovered an unused bomb believed to be from the Battle of Gallipoli.
Workers at the state waterworks authority in the village of Kilitbahir in the northwestern province of Ãanakkale uncovered the century-old bomb while digging a water supply canal.
Troy ancient city to have green museum constructed
The half of the museum construction that was started a year ago in the ancient city of Troy in the western province of Ãanakkale has been finished. When it is completely finished, the museum is expected to be a nominee for many architectural awards for its 5,000-square-meter green roof and sustaining wall that looks like the walls of the ancient city.

129 women killed in six months in Turkey, lawmaker says
Some 129 women were killed in the first half of the year, up from 88 in the same period a year earlier, said Aylin Nazlıaka, a main opposition Republican Peopleâs Party deputy, at a July 11 press meeting at the Parliament.
