Two individuals, identified as members of the PKK/KCK terrorist organization, who were allegedly planning "sensational actions" in Istanbul, have been apprehended, the Interior Ministry has announced.

Some 19 PKK terrorists have been neutralized in the regions of the Operation Olive Branch and Operation Peace Spring, the Turkish Defense Ministry has said.

Posting a tweet about the latest operations against the terror organization, the ministry said, "Sixteen in the Operation Olive Branch zone and three in the Operation Peace Spring have been neutralized."

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold face-to-face talks in Sochi on Sept. 29 to discuss the recent escalation in Syria's Idlib province as the Russian and Syrian forces intensified military operations against the opposition groups.

The U.S. on June 13 condemned an attack by the terror group YPG/PKK on a hospital in opposition-held northern Syria which killed at least 14 civilian patients and injured dozens.

"We condemn in the strongest terms yesterday's attacks on the al Shifaa Hospital in Afrin, Syria," U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a statement.

In the wake of a deadly terror attack on a hospital, Turkey on June 13 hit YPG/PKK terror targets in Syria's Tal Rifat region and neutralized many terrorists, according to security sources.

Saturday's hospital attack originated from terrorists in Tal Rifat.

A house that Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey, used as his military headquarters in Syria's northern province of Afrin during World War I will be renovated and turned into a museum.

"The house has already been cleaned, and a project to restore and turn the house into a museum has been prepared," the Hatay Governor's Office said.

Turkish security forces detained nine people in Syria's northwestern Afrin district for their suspected links to the PKK terror group, a local officials said on Sept. 17.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said the Turkey-backed Operation Olive Branch into Syria's northern district of Afrin has eliminated "all terror groups" there.

Turkey's Special Forces Command and units from the Free Syrian Army (FSA) launched a joint operation in the early hours of Nov. 18 against a crime group in the Syrian province of Afrin.

Turkish military personnel deployed in Syria's northern district of Afrin have cast their votes in Turkey's southern border province of Hatay.
