Midyat sees tourism boom in autumn
The rich historical architecture and cultural heritage have made Mardin's Midyat district a sought-after destination for tourists, especially during the autumn months as visitor numbers tend to rise.
With the arrival of cooler autumn weather, both domestic and international tourists are flocking to Midyat, a city steeped in 12,000 years of history and home to numerous civilizations.

Two more cultural assets of Turkey have been added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List. With the new additions, 85 cultural assets from Turkey have made it to the list.
BIFE-SIM 2019 furniture fair opened on Thursday at Romexpo
The international trade fair for furniture, equipment and accessories - BIFE-SIM 2019 opened its gates on Thursday in Bucharest at Romexpo and over 230 Romanian and international companies are exhibiting various styles of furniture, from classic to modern, from solid wood to the one combined with glass or leather, or even hand-painted.
SNF funds for Oxford studies
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) has donated 3.4 million euros to Oxford University to support the expansion of its Late Antique and Byzantine studies department.
According to Professor Peter Frankopan, director of the Oxford Center for Byzantine Research, "this magnificent gift is testimony to the work done in the field of Late Antique and Byzantine studies at Oxford."

Antique and Nostalgia Festival in Istanbul
The Antique and Nostalgia Festival will bring together antique dealers from Beşiktaş, Beyoğlu, Ortaköy, Üsküdar and Kadıköy districts at the Istanbul Naval Museum on March 9. The festival will be open through March 17 between 10 a.m and 5 p.m.

Sting will Sing Twice in Plovdiv Next Year
The musician chose the Antique Theater himself.
Sting returns to Bulgaria for two concerts next year, Sofia Music Publishers announced.
Concerts of the famous musician on 19 and 20 June 2018 are included in the Hills Exclusive format and are implemented with the support of Plovdiv Municipality as part of the Calendar of Cultural Events of Plovdiv Municipality for 2018.
