Aegean Sea island for sale for $54 million
Some part of 459-acre island, known as Kalem Island off the coast of the Aegean province of İzmir's Dikili district, was put up for sale for 400 million Turkish Liras ($54 million).
Located 500 meters from the Turkish mainland and right across the Greek island of Lesbos, Kalem is known as a frequent destination for daily tour boats in the Aegean Sea.

Turkey rescues 98 irregular migrants in Aegean Sea

Turkish coastguard rescues 10 irregular migrants
The Turkish coastguard rescued 10 irregular migrants early on Feb. 22, who were illegally attempting to cross to Europe through the Aegean Sea.
State-run Anadolu Agency reported on Feb. 22 that a boat belonging to the coast guard were dispatched to Aegean province of İzmir's Dikili district, where they were seen to be stranded on rocks.
