The Peljesac Bridge, linking Croatia's Peljesac peninsula with the rest of the country, was fully joined together on Wednesday night, with the installation of the last, 165th segment of its steel span.

The Adriatic city of Dubrovnik, Croatia's best-known tourist destination, on Thursday and Friday will host the 16 + 1 summit, a Chinese initiative to strengthen business ties between China and 16 countries from Central and Eastern Europe.

Croatian tourism notched up a slight decline in figures this July, although the figures for 2014 overall saw healthy growth.
In July, there were 0.4 per cent less arrivals and 2 per cent less overnight stays than in July 2013.
