Turkey has killed hundreds of militants from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) as counter-terrorism operations ended in two southeastern towns that had been under weeks-long military curfews.

A total of 22,830 properties were sold to foreigners in 2015, representing a 20.4 percent increase from the previous year, according to fresh data from the Turkish Statistics Institute (TÜ?K). 

The bodies of three men killed with gunshots to their head or chest were found in Turkey's southeastern provinces of Diyarbak?r and Hakkari on Jan. 6, amid ongoing clashes and curfews in the conflict-ridden region. 

Passersby had noticed the bodies of two men in the middle of an icy road leading to the village of Be?p?nar in Diyarbak?r's Ç?nar district. 

The Turkish army has deployed specially trained military forces in the southeastern town of Cizre, which has been under curfew for more than two weeks, to deactivate improvised explosive devices that cannot be seen to the naked eye.

A police officer who succumbed to his injuries 21 days after being wounded in clashes withthe outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) has been buried in his hometown Kocaeli, in northwestern Turkey.

Turkish warplanes struck outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) targets and killed five militants as part of an air and ground offensive against the PKK in southeast Turkey, the Turkish military said on Nov. 24.

A curfew ended in Yüksekova in the southeastern province of Hakkari at 6 a.m. on Nov. 23, according to the Hakkari Governor's Office.

A curfew was declared on Nov. 20 from 8 p.m. in the region, "due to escalating terror events, in order to reassure peace and security."

Selahaddin Eyyubi Airport, which was opened in the southeastern province of Hakkari's Yüksekova district in May, has been closed for around three months due to "terror attacks."

Istanbul's Be?ikta? Municipality has change the name of a street in the district to "Bar??-A?iti," meaning "peace" in Turkish and Kurdish. The move comes as an expression of solidarity with the municipality in the violence-hit southeastern province of Hakkari. 

Thirteen outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants have been killed in aerial operations targeting the organization in the Çukurca district of the southeastern province of Hakkari, the General Staff has said.
