HDP head criticizes Turkish president Erdo?an for choosing sides
The Peoples? Democratic Party?s (HDP) co-chair Selahattin Demirta? said opening an airport means nothing if Erdo?an keeps boldly insulting the HDP and its voters in the southeastern province of Hakkari and elsewhere, referring to an airport opening ceremony in Hakkari?s Yüksekova district where President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an and Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu delivered speeches.
Mortars target military base in eastern Turkey
A "group of terrorists" launched a mortar attack on a military base in the eastern Turkish province of Hakkari on May 25, the Turkish Armed Forces has announced in an official statement.
The military base in the Da?l?ca district of Hakkari was shelled by an unidentified group, but the attack was halted after the military hit back, according to the statement.

Property sales soar almost 50 percent in Turkey
The number of property sales increased by 42.7 percent in April to 119,317 from the same period of the previous year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜ?K) on May 25.
Additionally, mortgaged house sales throughout Turkey reached 46,063, an increase of 96.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

Mules slated for euthanization escape to Iran
