Finnish author deported from Turkey for 'terror links'
A Finnish author is set to be deported from Turkey after being detained in the eastern province of Van for alleged "links to terrorism."
Taina Niemela was taken to the police deportation center on April 28 after an investigation opened upon claims that she attended a funeral of terrorist group members.
Two rocket projectiles hit Turkey's Kilis

Two Turkish companies win bid to complete construction of airport in Senegal
Two Turkish companies, Limak and Summa, won a tender to complete the construction of the Aéroport International Blaise-Diagne Airport (AIBD) in Senegal's capital, Dakar, according to a written statement published on April 28.
ISIL opens mortar fire on Turkish border town
Mortar fire targeting the Karkam?? district of the southeastern province of Gaziantep was opened on April 28 from an Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)-controlled region in northern Syria.
Mortars fired from Jarabulus hit around a military post in the border town, according to initial reports.

Police officer, soldier killed in PKK attacks in Turkey's southeast
One police officer and one soldier were killed on March 27 by outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) attacks in the Nusaybin district in the southeastern province of Mardin, as security forces operations in the district entered their second week.
Summer time to start March 27
Turkey's summer time, or daylight savings, will start March 27, when clocks around Turkey will be advanced one hour at 3 a.m.
The summer time practice will end on Oct. 30 by setting back the clock by one hour at 3 a.m.

PM Davuto?lu to visit Jordan
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu visit Jordan this weekend to boost bilateral ties as well as to hold talks on recent developments in Syria.
Davuto?lu is expected to arrive in Jordan late on March 26 to meet with senior Jordanian officials in Amman the following day.

Curfew declared in Turkey's Silvan
A curfew was declared on March 25 in the Silvan district of the southeastern province of Diyarbak?r ahead of operations against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), the district governor's office has announced.
The curfew was declared in 18 neighborhoods and villages of Silvan on March 25 at 11 a.m. until further notice, District Gov. Murat Kütük said in a statement.

UK citizen detained in Turkish capital for being ISIL member
Ankara police has detained a U.K. citizen for being a member of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), which has recently attacked a major thoroughfare of Istanbul.
The suspect, identified as M.A. by police sources, was captured at a hotel in the Alt?nda? district of the Turkish capital on March 25.
