A technical fault has caused an interruption of the water supply in the districts of Vitosha and Dianabad in Sofia.

Sofiyska voda explained that the faulty section is in the district of Hladilnika and is at great depth.

It is expected that the areas concerned will be supplied with drinking water in an alternative manner.

The extension of the red line of the Sofia metro reaching the airport is expected to be completed by the beginning of April next year, the Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova told journalists after an inspection of the construction.

The other extension of the same line - to the Business Park - would be completed by the end of April.
