51 migrants found on Cretan beach
A total of 51 migrants, among them four women and six children, were found on a beach in southern Crete on Friday night.
They were located on a beach in the Tris Ekklisies area in the Archanes-Asterousia municipality, in Iraklio prefecture.
The migrants have been transferred to an accommodation facility.

52 migrants rescued off southern coast of Crete
Coast guard officers have rescued 52 migrants off the south of Crete after receiving a call for help through the emergency 112 number.
The migrants, who say they are citizens of Sudan and Egypt, were on an inflatable vessel in the sea south of the village of Kaloi Limenes in Iraklio prefecture.

A 16-year-old British girl vacationing on Crete with her parents has filed a complaint with police in the prefecture of Iraklio, saying she was raped at a bar on Wednesday night.
The teenager, who was at the bar in the popular seaside resort of Mali with her parents, told police that she was attacked in the restroom.

Crete: Man injured in Kalashnikov assault on car
Police in Crete are investigating a shooting in which assailants riddled a car with a Kalashnikov assault rifle, injuring a man inside.
The shooting took place in the village of Tsifout Kastelli, in Iraklio prefecture, according to state broadcaster ERT.

EMAK rescue workers and fire brigade employees in the Cretan prefecture of Iraklio were attempting on Friday to rescue two men who became trapped by snow in the area of Krousaniotiko Livadi.
A track-laying vehicle was dispatched to the scene in a bid to reach the exact location of the two men, according to local reports late on Friday morning.

A wildfire broke out north of Damasta, in the municipality of Iraklio on the island of Crete, on Friday morning.
A group of 18 firemen were battling the blaze although strong winds were reportedly hampering their efforts on Friday afternoon.
