Land and River Art Biennial opens in Adıyaman
Commagene Lar, Land and Art Biennial opened in Adıyaman's Kahta district on Sept. 23. Curated by Nihat Özdal, the biennial showcases artworks of 13 artists, Shirin Abedinarad, Vahap Avşar, Murat Cem Baytok, Anna Laura Cantera, Yalda Jamali, Odmaa Uranchimeg, Cengiz Tekin, Mariko Hori, Zaid Saad, Meltem Şahin, Mert Kocadayı and Kim İncheol.

Nemrut’s statues stay strong, tumuli ruined

Statues on top of Mount Nemrut await visitors
Hotels in the southeastern province of Adıyaman are enjoying a 100 percent occupancy rate thanks to a flock of domestic visitors wanting to spend their upcoming nine-day Eid al-Fitr holiday, along with the increasing number of foreign visitors wanting to see the beautiful Mount Nemrut.

Rock relief depicts farewell scene
The relief on a Roman-era rock, found in the southeastern province of Adıyaman's Kahta district, depicts a man and a woman shaking hands. The 10-ton rock was carried to the Adıyaman Museum, director Mehmet Alkan said, adding that it is most probably depicting a 'farewell scene' for one of the partners who died.

Footage of Nemrut works discovered in Germany flea market
In a flea market in Germany, footage has been found of the excavations on Mount Nemrut from 1965, as well as the life of locals in the region.
Researcher ?enol ?ahin Çörekçi, who lives in Germany, said the footage of the Nemrut excavations, which had been found coincidentally by a Turkish collector, was transferred to the digital environment and brought to Turkey.
