Lithuanian climber dies in tragic fall in Antalya
A Lithuanian climber has tragically fallen to his death while ascending southern Geyik Mountain, authorities have confirmed.
The incident occurred at an altitude of 2,877 meters on the mountain, nestled between Antalya, Konya and Karaman provinces, one of the highest peaks of the Taşeli plateau in the area.

Ankara welcomes 2020's first snowfall
The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that snowfall expected in the high parts of Ankara province.
Ankara woke up with cold and snowy weather on Jan. 6 and snowfall in the high parts of the city accelerated.
An official statement has not yet been made as to whether there is a snow holiday for schools in Ankara.

Ten people who died while trapped by an underground flood in the Ermenek mine did not drown, but rather died due to coal gas poisoning, autopsy reports have shown.
Ten miners' bodies have been recovered from the coal mine in the Karaman province since the accident took place on Oct. 28, while efforts are continuing to locate the remains of the other eight.
