FSS writes to UEFA over situation in Kosovo-Metohija

BELGRADE - The Football Association of Serbia (FSS) on Monday wrote to UEFA over the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and Pristina's ban on competitions organised by Serbs in the province.

The urgent letter to UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin and Secretary General Theodore Theodoridis was signed by FSS President Dragan Dzajic and Secretary General Jovan Surbatovic.

KLA claims responsibility for attack on Gosince watchtower

SKOPJE - Certain Commander Fljamuri has claimed the responsibility on behalf of the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) for late Tuesday's attack on Gosince border watchtower in northern Macedonia and beating of three out of four on-duty police officers, Macedonian online edition of Press24 reported.

Agriculture minister visits south of central Serbia

PRESEVO - Serbian Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Snezana Bogosavljevic-Boskovic met with businessmen and representatives of the southern Serbian municipalities of Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac on Wednesday.

Bogosavljevic-Boskovic told Tanjug that the businessmen were seeking to start production at once very productive slaughterhouse Jugokop.

Nikolic to pay official visit to Vatican on April 17

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will pay an official one-day visit to Vatican on April 17, where he will confer with supreme pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church Pope Francis.

President Nikolic and Pope Francis will discuss the topics of mutual importance to the two countries, including the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and current international issues.

Serbia marks 16th anniversary of NATO bombing campaign

BELGRADE - Serbia is on Tuesday marking the Remembrance Day for the victims of the NATO aggression that killed at least 2,500 and wounded around 10,000 people 16 years ago.

During the 78 days of air raids, 1,008 Yugoslav Forces soldiers and Serbian policemen were killed, as well as around 1,500 civilians, including 89 children.
