Bulgarian Villages Endure Six Days Without Power Amid Harsh Winter Conditions
The power outage in various regions of Bulgaria has led to serious concerns and protests from local residents. Many areas, including parts of the Lovech municipality, have experienced days without electricity, with some villages facing up to six days without power.
2124 Schools Remained Closed Today
Today, February 4, the educational process in 2124 schools and nine kindergartens in 19 districts of the country has been suspended, the Ministry of Education and Science announced.

Owners of EU-funded Guest Houses in Bulgaria to Return BGN 4.5 Million
Owners of guest houses that are not used for their intended purpose will have to return BGN 4.5 million BGN. Bulgaria's Minister of Agriculture, Desislava Taneva, said on July 11 after a check of all such houses in the country.
Lovech will have a New Central City Park
Lovech municipality will build a new central city park. At today's meeting, the cabinet decided to take property from the Ministry of Defense, declaring it private state property and giving it to the municipality free of charge, reports Dnevnik.
The park will start from 53 Bulgaria Street. The land on which it will be built has an area of 4.3 decares and has 13 buildings.

Bulgaria’s Burgas Calls Off State of Emergency after Weekend of Heavy Rain
The Mayor of Burgas signed an ordinance Monday to lift the state of emergency in the city after a weekend of heavy rain.
The torrential rain in the area claimed one victim on Sunday, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Television.
Lovech Prosecution to Look Into Alonso The Jaguar Murder
Lovech Prosecution, along with Environment Ministry and the local municipality, started an investigation of the shooting of Alonso the jaguar, who escaped from his cage on Sunday.
He was shot and killed by a local hunter near the fence of the zoo. Reports whether the hunting party first tried to tranquillize Alonso, before killing him, are contradictory.
