Mexico City Earthquake: Houses Evacuated as 5.7 Quake Rocks Mexican Capital
The quake hit 5.6 miles (9km) north-west of Huajuapan de Leon, a city in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, with aftershocks felt in Mexico City.
It had a depth of 34 miles (55 kilometres), according to the US Geological Survey.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or major damage following the quake, which struck at 8:31am local time (2:31pm UK time).

At least 13 people on the ground, including three children, were killed when a Mexican military helicopter carrying top officials surveying damage from an earthquake crashed in a small town in the southern state of Oaxaca, authorities said on Feb. 17.

A Powerful Earthquake in Mexico (Video)
An earthquake of magnitude 7.2 shook the southern and central parts of Mexico. There are no victims of the quake. A helicopter carrying Mexican interior minister Alfonso Navarre to the site of the earthquake has crashed in the landing, causing the deaths of several people on the ground.

An Earthquake of 5.1 on the Richter Scale was Registered in Mexico
An earthquake of 5.1 on the Richter was recorded Wednesday night in the state of Oaxaca, located in southern Mexico, said the National Seismological Service of the country, quoted by Mediapool.
According to the agency, the epicenter is located 20 km southeast of the city of Santiago Pinotapa Nacional and 2 km deep. No information has yet been received about injured people or damages.
