Serbia: 1.1 tons of narcotics destroyed in power plant
1,160 kilograms of narcotics and other psychoactive substances have been burned in the Nikola Tesla power plant in Belgrade's municipality of Obrenovac.
The drugs had been confiscated by the police over the past period.
Police Director Vladimir Rebic, who was present at the power plant, specified that the narcotics destroyed today consisted mostly of marijuana and heroin.

OBRENOVAC - Canadian Ambassador Philip Pinnington stated that his country's government has ensured additional USD 500,000 for the recovery in Serbia after the last year's flashing floods.
The funds will be directed where most necessary via UNOPS and would be used for recovery of the facilities damaged in the floods, Pinnington said during his visit to Obrenovac.

New German donation delivered to Obrenovac citizens

Social-Economic Council backs government measures
BELGRADE - Representatives of employers and trade unions backed at Friday's session of the Social-Economic Council the measures of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic's government aimed at getting the country out of the economic crisis.
It was agreed that Vucic be appointed to the Council, replacing Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government Kori Udovicki.
