Search underway for missing person following floods
One person remains missing in the aftermath of disastrous floods that struck northern Türkiye on June 5 and claimed the lives of two individuals, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced, noting that search and rescue works are underway.
More natural gas exploration planned in Black Sea: Minister
Türkiye will conduct exploration activities for natural gas off the coast of the province of Ordu in the Black Sea, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez has said.
Drilling in this area will begin by the end of 2023, Dönmez said in an interview with private broadcaster CNN Türk. "We are hoping to find natural gas there."
Statues of female figures damaged once again in Ordu
In the northern province of Ordu, the sculptural ensemble of "Three Girls," has been damaged once more, as one of the statues' feet was separated from its body.
The sculptures featuring three girls, inspired by a folk song, were placed 17 years ago in the Taşbaşı neighborhood of Altınordu district.
Heavy rains, storms continue to wreak havoc in Türkiye

Six plants with high economic return cloned
In the Tissue Culture Laboratory established in the northern province of Ordu, six plants that were difficult to access have been cloned, yielding 40,000 saplings.
Tissue samples are taken from plants with high economic yield, and tissue fragments are sterilized.
