Number of detained suspects in Ankara bombing rises to 20

The number of suspects detained over the Ankara car bomb attack has risen to 20 on Feb. 19, according to sources from the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Police have conducted operations in Ankara, Adana, Bolu, Tekirda?, ?zmir, Istanbul, Diyarbak?r and Gaziantep provinces and detained a total of 20 suspects following the deadly attack.

EU parliamentarians to visit southeastern Turkey

A delegation from the European Parliament's (EP) Socialist Group, including EU Turkey rapporteur Kati Piri, is set to pay a visit Feb. 19 to the Sur district of southeastern Diyarbak?r province, where the clashes between the security forces and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants have been ongoing for months.

16 PKK militants killed in Turkey's southeast

Sixteen outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants were killed on Feb. 8 during Turkish security forces operations in the southeastern provinces.

"Ten terrorists were neutralized during ongoing operations against the members of the separatist terror organization in the Cizre district," the ??rnak Governor's Office said in a statement, referring to PKK militants.
