GCS: 184 cases of persons infected with novel coronavirus

The Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informs that a number of 184 cases of persons infected with the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) has been registered on Romania's territory until Tuesday. "Other 16 new cases of infection have been registered, as follows: 7 in Iasi, 2 in Suceava, 2 in Neamt and one each in Ialomita, Mures, Botosani, Bistrita Nasaud and Vrancea Counties.

Most of the youths in Romania, who are not in employment, education or training (NEETs), are pleased with their current situation, and only 5 in 100 people want to collaborate and to change this situation, shows a survey conducted by the Junior Achievement organization.

Moderate Earthquake Rocks Romania's Vrancea

A 5-6 magnitude quake hit Vrancea county in Romania early Wednesday and was felt across Bulgaria, seismologists and media report.

There are no reports of injured people after the quake.

The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre measured its epicenter at a depth of 98 km beneath the surface, 148 km north of the capital Bucharest and 8 km west of Nereju.

5.4-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Romania’s Vrancea

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale was registered at 9.15 pm on Saturday in Romania's eastern county of Vrancea.

The epicenter was located around 400km northeast of Bulgaria's Sofia and around 180km away from the Bulgaria-Romania border, according to the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS).
