Fourth of July is one of the most widely celebrated holidays in the US each year.

New York Governor  announced on Thursday a state of emergency because of cold and snowfall. According to Twiter, he announces the state of emergency in the city of New York, Long Island and Westchester County because of the extreme natural conditions.

A Metro-North Railroad commuter train crashed into a car during rush hour in New York's Westchester County on Tuesday evening, killing at least seven people.

The collision left a dozen people injured and forced the evacuation of hundreds, the New York Times reports.
