"Moscow sent clear message that EU road is impossible"
Opposition LDP leader Cedomir Jovanovic says Moscow, has, via Russian Ambassador Aleksandr Chepurin, clearly told Serbia that the European path is impossible.
Serbian opposition leaders invited to Brussels
Leaders of the DS party and the PSG movement Dragan Sutanovac and Sasa Jankovic should travel to Brussels on August 24, Vecernje Novosti is reporting on Friday.
The two opposition leaders will go there for a meeting with European Parliament official and rapporteur for Serbia David McAllister.

Ex-ombudsman to LDP leader: Please don't vote for me
Presidential candidate and former Citizens' Ombudsman Sasa Jankovic has urged opposition LDP leader Cedomir Jovanovic "not to vote for him."
Jankovic said on Twitter that he "read carefully what Jovanovic has announced."
Serbia Opposition Slate Parliament's Enforced Holiday
Opposition party leaders and presidential candidates gathered in parliament on Thursday protesting against speaker Maja Gojkovic's decision to suspend parliament's work until after the presidential election in April.
They accused Gojkovic of suspending democracy itself, and some suggested the opposition would express its discontent on the streets.
LDP leader leaves his party's group in National Assembly
LDP party leader Cedomir Jovanovic has left his party's club in the Serbian National Assembly to join that of the LSV-Green Party.
Jovanovic informed the Assembly's president of the move in a written statement, Tanjug reported on Wednesday.

Serbia will hold presidential elections on April 9 next year, the Belgrade-based daily Blic writes.
According to the same source, early parliamentary elections could also be organized on that day.

LDP leader Cedomir Jovanovic has accused Foreign Minister and ruling SPS leader Ivica Dacic of "continuing his politicking showdown with the opposition."
According to Jovanovic, "Dacic's red herring about the LDP working against the interests of Serbia" represents a "shameful act."
Jovanovic pledges support to anyone who wants Serbia in EU
BELGRADE - The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) will be the most efficient support to anyone who wants to strengthen the European policy in Serbia, but it does not necessarily have to be in the government, LDP leader Cedomir Jovanovic said Tuesday.
