Turkey: 12 injured in explosion at refineries in Nicomedia
A powerful explosion occurred at the Tupras refineries in Nicomedia (Izmit), Turkey, approximately 95 kilometers east of Istanbul. According to a statement from the company, 12 people were injured in the explosion.
Blast at Tüpraş facility triggers fire, no injuries reported
Emergency teams on Nov. 5 brought blazes under control at a facility of oil refinery Tüpraş in the northwestern province of Kocaeli after an explosion sparked a fire, with 12 workers slighlty injured.
The incident took place around 1:30 a.m. at Tüpraş's İzmit facility during a scheduled drill.

Istanbul: four arrests for desecration of Greek community cemetery
Police in Turkey have arrested four people in relation to the desecration of Greek community cemetery in Istanbul last week.
Last Friday morning, staff at Aghios Eleftherios Cemetery, which serves the community of Tatavla in the Kurtulus district, noticed that holes had been dug within a fenced-off area of the cemetery.
No damage had been done to graves or the cemetery chapel.
