Serbia: Journalist sued by ruling party officials to go to jail
Journalist Stefan Cvetkovic has been found guilty and sentenced to a total of 27 months in prison in a first instance ruling.
He was sued privately by three officials of the ruling Serb Progressive Party (SNS) in Serbia's northern province of Vojvodina.

BELGRADE -- Trucks are on Thursday waiting up to 17 hours to leave Serbia on the Batrovci border crossing with Croatia, the Interior Ministry (MUP) has said.
Also today, trucks wait approximately two hours at the Šid border crossing.

BELGRADE -- Freight vehicles leaving Serbia on the Batrovci border crossing had to wait around three hours on Monday morning, the police said.
No major congestion has been reported from the crossings of Šid, Horgoš, Bački Vinogradi, Bajmok, Gostun, Jabuka, Špiljani, and Kotroman.

BELGRADE -- The flood-stricken areas of Serbia had a quiet night as the Sava River water levels are receding, and no critical locations have been identified.
Official death toll now stands at 22, 14 of whom died in the town of Obrenovac.

BELGRADE - The 69th anniversary of the breakthrough of the Axis lines on the Syrmian Front and the final battles for Yugoslavia's liberation from Nazi occupation in World War II was marked in Adasevci near Sid, northwestern Serbia.
Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic laid a wreath on the behalf of the government at the Syrmian Front memorial and paid tribute to the victims.
