Nearly two-thirds of calls made by people to helpline centers to report an emergency are either unfounded or not related to an emergency situation at all, an official has said.

There were 111 deaths recorded

A new four-digit number, 1110, was activated for callers who wish to report price-gouging of medical supplies and to ask for coronavirus information, the Region of Attica and the Athens Medical Association reported on Wednesday.

Senior official with the Interior Ministry (MAI) Raed Arafat said on Wednesday that he presented to the Prime Minister Viorica Dancila a report on the 112 emergency call service drawn up by an inter-ministerial committee that comprises 14 short, medium and long-term measures to be implemented.
