Swiss prosecutors said on May 1 that were investigating two officials from Saudi energy group PetroSaudi as part of a wider inquiry into the suspected theft of assets from Malaysia's 1MDB state fund.

A luxury yacht linked to allegations that $4.5 billion was looted from Malaysia’s state investment fund 1MDB is being handed over to the FBI, which is probing the scandal, Indonesian police said on March 8.

Mahathir has led calls for Najib's resignation over alleged mismanagement and corruption at indebted state investment fund 1MDB.
