Favorites win easily as Kolossos edges out Aris
Olympiakos and Panathinaikos strolled to easy home wins in the Basket League over the weekend ahead of a very demanding week in the Euroleague with two fixtures for each one of them within 48 hours. The win of the weekend belonged to Kolossos though.

Reds triumph at AEK to stay on top of Basket League
Olympiakos saw off the challenge of host AEK on Monday to all but secure the top spot in the regular season of the Basket League, just as Doxa Lefkadas and Apollon Patras as staring at the abyss of relegation.

AEK goes down at Rethymno, again
Rethymno upset AEK in the midweek set of Basket League fixtures, while PAOK narrowly escaped one more home loss. There were no problems for leaders Olympiakos and Panathinaikos in their home games, as the Euroleague has gone into a one-week recess.

Olympiakos and AEK survived scares from Kolossos Rhodes and Trikala respectively as they fought back to score wins in the Basket League, though PAOK was not so lucky, suffering an upset at struggling Apollon Patras.

Green hoopsters recover to beat Aris away
Panathinaikos shook off the two defeats within 48 hours in the Euroleague last week to beat host Aris in the Basket league on Monday and remain one point behind leaders Olympiakos and AEK.
Led by birthday-boy Chris Singleton (16 points), Panathinaikos overcame the Champions League challenger with a 71-59 score in what traditionally is one of the trickiest trips for the Athens giants.

Hard-fought away wins for AEK and Aris hoopsters
AEK remained joint top of the Basket League as it came from 11 points down to beat host PAOK on Saturday for its first major victory in the league this season.
AEK won 78-71 thanks to a strong last period in Thessaloniki and has made it six victories out of six games.

Rethymno defeats in-form AEK on Crete

AGO Rethymnou put an end to a positive string of results for in-form AEK, while PAOK survived a strong challenge by Kolossos Rhodes in Thessaloniki in yet another exciting weekend of basketball action in the A1 league, even without the two giants, Panathinaikos and Olympiakos playing.
