Heartbreak for AEK in Kiev as goalless draw was not enough
AEK showed once again in the Europa League that it lives and dies by its draws, as it came close to beating Dynamo in freezing Kiev but ended up in a stalemate on Thursday that leaves it out of the last 16 of the tournament, albeit undefeated.
Following the 1-1 draw in Athens last week, AEK went out in Ukraine in search of a goal that would give it the ticket to the next round.

AEK 1-1 against Austria Vienna for Europa League (1st half)
AEK Athens are 1-1 at OAKA stadium in their second Group D Europa League match against Austria Vienna at the end of the first half. The Greek side opened the score with a Livaja goal on 28 minutes, but the visitors drew level in the 43rd minute with a Monschein goal. Both AEK and Austria Vienna are currently in second spot on 3 points in the group behind leaders Milan.

AEK Athens defeated Lamia (2-0) at the OAKA Stidium in Athens for their 2nd round Cup match. Christodoulopoulos (49’) and Mantalos (80’) were the scorers of the Athenian side.

AEK Athens triumph in Europa League. Defeat Rijeka (2-1)
AEK Athens have made a dream start in the Europa League campaign in Group D against Croatian side Rijeka, as the Athenian team came away with a huge victory (2-1). Mantalos opened the score for visiting AEK on 16 minutes, with home side getting back on equal terms in the 29th minute. AEK clinched the 3 points on 62 minutes with a Christodoulopoulos goal.
