Athens derby ends goalless, PAOK marches on

In a weekend where the top six teams of the table faced each other, the Athens derby between AEK and Panathinaikos ended goalless and PAOK got even closer to sealing an unbeaten championship title.

Most Super League teams appeared to have the Carnival in mind over the weekend, as out of the 14 teams in action on Saturday and Sunday only six did find the back of their opponent's net.

Lamia shocks Olympiakos to dump it out of Cup

Lamia added another major scalp to its collection in the Greek Cup this year, as it followed up the elimination of Panathinaikos with a shock win at Olympiakos on Thursday, to see the central Greece team through to the tournament's semis and the Reds crash out. Lamia has joined AEK, PAOK and Asteras Tripolis in the semifinal line-up.

Ten-man PAOK wins at Lamia to stay six points clear

PAOK narrowly managed to preserve its six-point lead over Olympiakos with a win at Lamia, as the Reds also struggled to beat Panetolikos at home on Monday.

It is cold December evenings on the road like this one that decide the champions, and on Monday PAOK was a man down in the second half but still managed to beat Lamia 1-0 thanks to a Fernando Varela second-half strike.

AEK back on winning track, draws for Panathinaikos and Atromitos

After a nightmare November, champion AEK returned to winning ways on Sunday beating Xanthi to climb back into the top four of the Super League, while Panathinaikos snatched a last-minute equalizer at Aris and Atromitos dropped points at struggling Apollon Smyrnis. PAOK and Olympiakos are in action on Monday.
